Informal sector, informal economy and informality
Abstract
The objective of the present proposal is to analyze the informal economy and how it is involved in the generation of self-employment in the Mexican economy. This describes the concepts of the informal sector, the informal economy and the informality, and different indicators that measure the phenomenon of study are analyzed. In the field work were utilized sources of secondary information that helped identify the percentage of the population occupied in this sector during the period 2003-2015, noting as well that 13.5 million people were part of the informal sector in the year 2014.
