The instrument developed by Allport, Vernon and Lindzey entitled Study of the values is used. This is a scale for measuring the dominant interests of personality, and was applied to a sample of 353 students (152 in architectural, 124 in graphic design and 77 in industrial design) that included men and women of different semesters of each of the degrees. The assumption was proved is to Allport that the dominant interest of personality in college students belong to the essence of their training, in this case it was true because students of the three degrees prevailed the interest of aesthetic personality is essence of such degrees; so the assumption made by us, betting that the dominant economic interest would be rejected.
